About this work

Description

For years 1843 to 1883 only 46 staff names have been recorded. From 1883 onwards more staff names are listed. Although this register refers to 'Attendants', all types of posts are included, such as Kitchen maid, Cook, Slater, Laundress, Nurse and Motor Lorry man. From June 1908 the house (i.e. 1st House, 2nd House, Male Hospital, Oakfield, Rosehall, etc.) where staff worked is recorded.
