Description
Manual of chiromancy and physiognomy, giving practical instructions for reading palms and faces. With brief notes on various other topics, including health, death, music, virtue, heresy etc. The manuscript contains five diagrams of hands (ff. 6v.-7r., 36r., 42r.), one of a face (f. 20r.), and various other sketches and tables, some of astrological significance. Produced in France.

Ownership note
Remains of old library label at base. 'Ex libris A(?) Ricart' inscribed on fly leaf (f. 1r.) in an 18th or early 19th century hand; 'Grandjean d'Alteville' stamped below and at f. 103r.
