![applies to a lesser extent to females. A smaller proportion of males and a larger proportion of females, at the age period 15—25, suffered from the Non-Pulmonary form. The Urban population in Radnorshire is rather more than one-third that of the rural population. Of those suffering from disease of the Bones and Joints 3 resided in the Urban and 12 in the Rural Districts; of those affected with Meningitis 4 resided in the Urban and 4 in the Rural districts ; the 2 children with Tubercular Glands of the Neck resided in the Urban Districts, and 1 person with Peritonitis. On page 25 Annual Report for 1924, I gave particulars of an investigation carried out by Dr. S. Griffith, of the Ministry of Health. lie concluded that about 80^ of all children under the age of 5 years, who had Tubercular Glands of the Neck, were infected with the bovine variety of the Tubercle bacillus, which is present in milk. In Lupus, at all ages, there is infection by bovine bacilli in half the cases; in Bone and Joint Tuberculosis, Meningitis,’etc, the proportion of bovine infections is from one-fifth to one-sixth of the cases examined. Of the 2 males and 6 female adults, who suffered from Meningitis, 1 male was a carpenter and the other a farm labourer ; 4 females were domestic servants, 1 a dressmaker and 1 a shop assistant; 7 out of 8 followed indoor occupations. Of the 7 males and 3 female adults, who suffered from disease of the bones and joints the occupations were as follows]:—Males : farmer 4 ; labourer 1 ; innkeeper r, and law student i ; the 3 females were domestic servants. Prevention and Treatment.—Full particulars are given on pages 21—25 Annual Report for 1924, and pages 34—39 Annual Report for 1925. Miss K. Rowlands, of the Welsh National Memorial Association, commenced a series of Lectures at the Rlcmcn- tary Schools on “Tuberculosis” and the “ Laws_of Health ” and also gave talks to senior girls on “ Infant Care.” Some of the lectures were to adults only and were given in the evening.
