This gives a zymotic death- rate of T5 per 1,000 persons living, as compared with *85 for 1903. The increased rate is due to the greater number of deaths from Measles, Whooping Cough and Diarrhoea. The zymotic death rate of England and Wales for 1904 was T94, that for the 76 great towns 2*49, and Rural England and Wales 1*28 Scarlet Fecer.—1 death. Measles.—13 deaths, all but one below five years of age. Diphtheria and Group.—3 deaths, two below five years of age. Whooping Gough.—11 deaths, ten below five years of age, the other being registered as five years of age.
