    ADVER TIS EM ENT. As fome Cheats who counterfeit our Medicines, have been fo infolent as not only to fell impudently their flight and vile Medicines for our own, but alfo to get graved our ufual Seal, and by putting it upon their counterfeited Medicines, to ufe it wrongfully; we thought this Advertifement neceflary, and intreat by it the Publick to keep itfelf from being cheated. Some of thofe deceitfull People have got graved the Richter’s Seal together with the Name of the late Inventer; others again who fet up for having at leaft any thing of gentle- man, have, indeed, made Ufe of our Seal, but got graved about the fame either their own Names or any Devife with fo fmall Letters, that they are not eafy to be read without a magnifying-glafs. Now for to pre- vent and keep off as much as is feafible, fuch Cheats and Tricks, we find it needful to fet to the End of this Side a magnifyed Copy of the Seal, which w^e ufe to put on our Medicines, that every one may read the Letters and Name ingraved by the Brim of the Seal, keep itfelf from being cheated, and thus efeape the impofitions of thofe Cheats. * r
