Wilson, for a time an assistant in Morton's office, declares that this was the uniform state- ment of Morton, and in giving an ac- count of what Morton said respecting the interview referred to by Dr. Barnes, affirms that Morton described the in- structions then received by him from Dr. Jackson as they are set forth by Mr. Barnes.
