    (b) Uncleanliness :—Though at each medical inspection the condition of the children as regards cleanliness is noted, the school nurse makes a special inspection of each class thrice yearly for this purpose. When the condition of the child is unsatisfactory, the attention of the parent is drawn to the fact and the school nurse visits the home when necessary and instructs the mother how to deal effectively with the case. Cases of persistent neglect are reported to the Local Authority and the children are removed from school for compulsory cleansing. In no case was compulsory cleansing necessary during 1926.
