But that praétitioners fhould feem to differ about fimple faéts, and fhould maintain oppofite opinions in matters, which experience can fo eafily decide, is peculiarly ftrange, and feems not to be reconciled to that fpi- rit of liberality, which the profeffion would, at prefent, lay clamto. THE many opportunities I have had of proving the efficacy of the Red Peruvian Bark, and of afcertaining that its wonderful powers are uniformly the fame, and my experience of its ereat ufefulnefs in curing, with fuch certainty, a complaint which, if not putan early {top to, will, in many cafes, immediately produce very dangerous confequences, and in mott others, will, in time, bring ona train of very cala- mitous fymptoms; from which like- wife, no clafs of perfonsis exempt, and with which, moreover, fo large and fo refpectable a part of the community as the labouring poor is fo efpecially afflicted,
