During the year, 13 notices were served under Section 11 of the Housing Act, 1936, inviting owners to appear before the Council when demolition of their properties was being considered. Demolition Orders were made m respect of 6 houses and undertakings were accepted by the Council in respect of 5 houses that they would not be used for human habitation and m the case of 2 other houses decision regarding the acceptance of undertakings was deferred. , demolished following Demolition Orders made in 1952 and although some of the six houses on which Demolition I Orders were made m 1953 were empty at the end of the year, demolition ; had not been carried out. TEMPORARY DWELLINGS. i , A . were served under Section 11 of the Housing Act, 1^6, inviting owners to appear before the Council at the time I when Demolition Orders were being considered. Five Demolition [Orders were made during the year and one temporary dwelling was [demolished as a result of action taken in 1952, and one in accordance Iwith action taken m 1953. During the year a Clearance Area was made by the Council regarding ^an area comprising 18 temporary bungalows.
