![148 ] sfFt'd, and I believe greatly affifted the cure, which was effeded in about four months, without his obferving any parti* cular diet or reft ; but on the contrary, ufed confiderable exercife. Since the cure 1 have advifed him to wear a ftrait flocking* Observation XXIX, MRS. G .had been affiided twelve years with an Ulcer of the Leg, which was very painful, and ren¬ dered her incapable of walking. This Ulcer was fuperiicial, the bottom of a livid colour, and very hard, with a confi¬ derable c lofity furrounding it. I began the cure, by ordering the Nitre four times in the day, joined with the Laxative Pow¬ der, and Spt. Sal. Ammoniac. And this method I continued for above two months, without any confiderable alteration, the Ulcer having nearly the fame appearance as when 1 firft attempted the cure.
