The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed. 2. The Council then proceeded to consider the Report by the Executive Committep] on the Standimj Orders relating to complaints against Registered Medical Practitioners and to removal of names from the Medical Register. On May 18, 1885, the Council adopted this Resolution:— That the PLkecutive Committee, with the assistance of tlie le<ral advisers of the Council, be requested to revise Chapters XI, XTl, XJV of the Sftnuliiiff Ofdcrs, having- reference to J'enal ^Measures, and to make to the next meeting of the General Medi- cal Council such recommendations as they may see lit for amending the same. The Executive Committee accordingly reported that they had, ivith the as.'iistance of the Solicitor of the Council, and with the advice of Counsel, carefully considered the Chapters referred to, and that they now recommended that Chapters XI and XIY of the Standing Orders be annulled, and that certain amended Slanding Orders now submitted be substituted therefor. 3. Moved by Dr. Heron Watson, seconded by Dr. Storrar, and arp-fpd to :— That the Council resolve itself into a Committee cf the whole Council for the consideration of this Report. 4. The propostnl amended Standing Orders were read to the CoMMiTTKE clause by clause, and the Committee discussed several suggested altcnitions for the further amendment of certain of these Standing Orders.
