![UNGUENTUM PLUMBI IODIDI. Ointment of Iodide of Lead. Take of Iodide of Lead an ounce, Lard eight ounces; Rub together, and mix. Medicinal Use.—Employed in chronic enlargement of joints. UNGUENTUM SAMBUCI. Ointment of Elder. Unguentum Sambucinum, P.L. 1720, P.L. 174*5. Unguentum Sambuci, P.L. 1788, P.L. 1800, P.L. 1824*. Take of Elder [Flowers], Lard, each two pounds ; Boil the Elder Flowers in the Lard until they become crisp; then press through a linen cloth. Medicinal Use.—This is used for the same purposes as the Unguehtfim Cetacei, over which it possesses no advantage but a pleasant smell. UNGUENTUM SULPHURIS. Ointment of Sulphur.
