No text description is available for this image![1 Irrigation and drainage. No irrigation, no drainage. Irrigation; Mikulicz tampon. Irrigation Mikulicz tampon. Alter treatment. Stitches removed on eighth day; wound healed by first inten- tion; uninterrupted recovery. Left hos- Patient in bad shape f or 5 days after opera- tion; freely stimula- ted ;. Smade complete In extreme shock after operation; was stimu- lated but did not thor- oughly react until the following day; tampon removed on fifth day; stitches removed on eleven h day; made un- interrupted recovery. . : 1 History of patient. Healthy: menstruated at 18; regular, but consider- able pain; during last 8 years patient has been getting worse, and hypo- dermics of morpliine were necessary to con- trol the spasms; patient of late confined to bed, unable to attend to any duties; very nervous. Always delicate; men- struated at 18; regular, scanty: married at 22; first child at 23, second at 25; had miscarriage at fourth month at 27, caused by a fall; third child at 29; since last confinement never been so well. Neverhealthy; menstruat- ed at 13;regular; no pain married at 23; child at 24; miscarried in June ’93. brought on by a fall made good recovery. In January, ’94, took cole while menstruati n g fever, chills, and pelvk pain; did not improvt and confined to bed en tire time. Place and j date of ] operation | Lakeside Hospital, March 12, 1894.
