Hospital Ward : An addition to the Male Side, commenced in 1869, to give the following extra accommodation’:—Thirty single Bedrooms, and six Rooms to he used either as Day-rooms or Dormitories, the size of each being 31 feet by 22 feet 6 inches. Amount expended in 1869, £1,273. 10s. 6d.; ditto, in 1870. 1,247 8 The whole of this building is now occupied, hut various details, which are connected with alterations in the adjoining buildings, remain to be finished. Centre Buildings : Extensive alterations in the centre block of buildings, by which spaces formerly occupied by lobbies, small sitting-rooms, and single dormitories] have been converted into the following accommodation :—On the Male Side : Two Day- rooms for Gentlemen, looking on to the lawn, the size of each being 25 feet by 22 feet 9 inches ; a Bedroom, the same size, Chief Attendants’ Office, a Water-closet, and a single Bedroom. On the Female Side : Rooms exactly similar in all respects. The work also includes a re-arrangement of the Entrance Hall, the removal of various doors to more convenient positions, and several new doors.
