Transcripts, extracts, and notes on alchemy [etc.]. Vol. I. Partly holograph MSS. On the spine is a label inscribed 'MSS. on alchemy received from H[enry] C[owell] Boyes 1894.' This is a printed title to the collection, and is found on the spine of both volumes.

The titles of some of the Bacstrom transcripts are on slips, some pasted down. The various MSS. in this volume are of different 4to. formats.
