    First.—The highest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute arise between two or.more bidders the lot in dispute to be-put up again and resold at the discretion of the auctioneer. The right to make any alteration in the catalogue. £2, two shillings and sixpence ; and so on in proportion. as the auctioneer shall decide. The auctioneer may, in his discretion, -refuse to accept the bidding of any person. Third.—In the case of any lot on which there is a reserve the auctioneers shall have the right to bid on behalf of the Vendor. Fourth.—Each purchaser is at the time of purchase to give in» . his name and address, and pay a deposit of five shillings in the pound in part payment or the whole of the purchase-money (if: required), in default of which the lot purchased may be ae YP again and resold at:the discretion of the auctioneer. : v Fifth.—The auctioneer is not responsible for the correct description, genuineness, or authenticity of, or for any default or defect in, any lot, and gives no warranty whatever, expressed or implied, and no compensation shall me payable in respect to any such matters. | Sixth.—Each Lot shall be at the purchaser’s risk in all respects from the fall of the hammer, and shall be paid for in full, and taken away with all faults and errors of every description, and neither the Vendor nor Stevens’s Auction Rooms, Ltd., shall be liable for any damage to the same, or loss from whatever cause arising. The Purchaser shall pay a storage charge of 1/— per Lot per day for any lot not “taken away within two days after the Sale. Lastly.—Upon: failure to comply with the above conditions, the money deposited shall be forfeited; any lot remaining un- cleared may be resold by public or private sale, and the deficiency Gf any) attending “such . re-sale, together with all incidental - expenses and charges, shall be paid by the defaulter.
