![Nurses’ aides were all raised to $130 plus uniforms and laundering of uniforms. Increments based on merit were allowed up to $140. Pantry maids were all raised to $120 plus uniforms and laundering of uniforms. Ward helpers were all raised to $125 plus uniforms and laundering of uniforms. Increments based on merit were allowed up to $135. On May 15, 1949, room rents for supervisors were reduced from $45 per month to $40. In closing, I wish to extend the thanks of the nursing staff to the Assistant Board whose parties and teas we have enjoyed so much. The guidance of the Nursing Committee has been most helpful in time of need. My deep appreciation to Mrs. Walbridge S. Taft for her wise counsel and support. To Dr. Klicka, I wish to convey my respect and appreciation of his able direction. I am grateful to Dr. Aldridge for the continued support he has shown the nursing staff.
