    SAMPLES OTHER THAN MILK. The total number of samples of food and drugs, other than milk, examined during the year was 782 of which 13, or 1.66 per cent, were reported to be adulterated or otherwise giving rise to irregularity. There was no serious adulteration of any article of diet. MERCHANDISE MARKS ACTS. Three instances of the sale of foreign produce not labelled as to the country of origin were discovered. This is an offence under the Mer- chandise Marks Acts and a warning letter was sent in each case.
