Frost for the first fortnight; during the 14th and 15th, all the snow melted. To the end of February, mild, hazy weather. The whole of March, frosty, with bright weather. April, cloudy, with rain and snow. May began with summer showers, and ended with dark cold rains. June, rainy, chequered with gleams of sunshine. The first fortnight in July, dark and sultry ; the latter part of the month, heavy rain.
