Only those houses let after the passing of the Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, in December, 1909, at a rent not exceeding £26 a year can be dealt with under Sec. 15 (3) of the Act, as regards their being kept in all respects reasonably fit for human habitation. Of 622 Notices served during the year 1916, 298 remained uncomplied with at the end of the year ; of these 252 were served upon owners, and 46 upon occupiers.
