For the Difcovery of any cheap Com-Sheep Mark pofition, of a very drong and lading Co-ing. lour, for marking of Sheep, which will indure and bear the Weather a proper Time, and not damage the Wool, as Pitch, Tar, do ; to be produced on or before the Fird IVednefday in February 1759, 20 /. 44. As a cheap and eifedual Compofition Ships Bottom for lecuring Ships Bottoms from Worms and other externa] Injuries would be of great Ad¬ vantage to the Public, in regard to the Pre- fervation both of Merchant Ships and of Ships of War ; it was propofed (in the Year 1757) to give for the bed and cheaped Compofition, which on fufEcient Tryals, made by the Inventor, ffiould appear mod effedual for lecuring Ships Bottoms from Worms and other Injuries, to be produced on or before the Fird IVednefday in February 1760, 50 L But as the Inventor or Inventors of inch Compofition might be uncertain what Trials to make, or find the making of them diffi¬ cult, the Society thought proper to take that trouble upon themfelves, and accord¬ ingly notified the fame by feveral Adver- tifements, to the Effed following, viz.
