Last year the collection from all sources totalled 40,038 eggs. We estimate that the saving in expenditure on Eggs would be approximately £200. “ Pound Day ” also brings in much help. Last year’s “ Pound ” gifts amount to 3£ tons of goods. Alcock Convalescent Hospital. The past year saw the opening of the Alcock Convalescent Hospital, previously reported. After internal alterations there is accommodation for 40 Patients (20 Men, 16 Women and 4 Children) with quarters for the Nursing and Domestic Staffs.
