Whereunto is added the History of Ireland, by Edmund Campion, sometime fellow of St. John’s Colledge in Oxford. Published by Sir James Ware, Knight. (Also Meredith Hanmer’s Chronicle of Ireland.) Title within woodcut border. First Epirion. Folio. Fine copy in full tree-calf gilt, g. e. Dublin, Society of Stationers, 1633. £10 10s With general title-page as above, and separate title to Campion’s portion. Though written in 1596, Spenser’s “ View of the State of Ireland” remained in manuscript till 1633, when it was published by Sir James Ware. It contains at end the four leaves “ Certaine Verses out of the fourth Booke of the Faerie Queene, concerning the rivers of Ireland.” {593]| ———— Works.
