Three Counties Asylum, 9th Dec., 1889, Upon our visit to-day, we have inspected the Asylum in its several departments, including the Offices and Workshops, and with the exception of 1 man and 1 women (absent on trial) have seen all the Patients. The following tabular Statement shews the changes in the Patients since the last visit bv Members of our Board, 13th of November, 1868, and their present numbers. Admitted ... Males. 75 Females. 92 Total. 167 Discharged and Removed. 42 69 111 ,, of whom Recovered 27 45 72 Died .. 27 41 68 Present numbers on the Books... 252 268 520 The rate of Mortality has been rather high, being upwards of 12 per cent, upon the average number resident. There has, however, been no disorder of an epidemic character.
