Segment 1 Dockers at a dock yard walk into a mobile blood donation unit. The voiceover points out one man, Les Fitzgerald, who gives blood twice a year. Three years ago he had a serious car accident and received 6 pints of blood that saved his life. The dockers are seen giving blood, and the narrator says that the need for blood rises every year and that 'your blood could save a life'.
