Care of Premature Infants.—Owing to building difficulties and the continued excessive demands for normal maternity accommodation, no further progress for the ])rovision of residential care for premature infants has been possible, but the Consulting Pediatrician has carried on with his work during the year. The notification of all infants under 54 lbs. is now being made. During the year the Nightingale Nursing Home, which is an institution run by the Derbyshire Nursing Association, opened a Sjiecial Ward for the care of premature children, and this is functioning ver}^ successfully.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b29157122_0017.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
