![16 cases of ophthalmia were treated, most of them slight or moderately severe cases, which responded quickly and completely to prompt treatment. 3 cases in Shettleston were, however, very acute, the first receiving 47 visits, being seen thrice daily for 12 days; the second 31 visits, thrice daily for 7 days; and the third 15 visits. All three recovered, the first one only having a slight corneal opacity on one eye. Besides the work done for infants, a number of visits were made in connection with infectious or contagious diseases.
