JGOODCHILD, a man who had « been ruptured from his infancy, was brought into St. Bartholomew’s Hof- pital, labouring under fuch fymptoms from hridture as to render the operation immediately necehary, but to leave lit¬ tle room to expert that it would be fuc- cefsful. The operation was performed In the ufual manner, but upon returning the intefline into the abdomen, I found that the tefticle was naked, and that the gut had been in contadt with it.
