    THE. POCKET FORMULARY. AcmeTas Catcis. See Calcis Acetas. [Note. The Salts _generally are placed under their respective bases; as Potasse Acetas; Flumbi Acetas; Sode Acetas. | AcETUM. Vinegar is procured in this country from malt, by fermentation, &c. French vinegar (Acetum Gallicum, E.& D.) is made from wine. Dose, f3 i—iv. AckTum Ati. Fresh garlic 5j, distilled vinegar f3xij. ACETUM ANTIHYSTERICUM. Castor 3ij, galbanum 3iv, rue 3), Vinegar Tbij. Macerate and strain, fe 7M ANTIsEPTIcUM. Four-Thieves’ Vinegar. See Acidum aceticum aromaticum, E, AcetuM Aromaticum. P. Aromatic Spirit of Vinegar. Strong acetic acid Oj, camphor ij, oil of lavender gr. Ix, oil of cloves 3ss, oil of cinnamon gr. xx. [Acetum Aro- maticum (PRus. Pu.) is made with aromatic herbs and common vinegar. See Acidum aceticum aromaticum, E, ] AcETUM CANTHARIDIS [Epispasticum.] L. Cantharides in very fine powder 3ij, acetic acid f3xx. Macerate 8 days, shaking occasionally, then express, and strain. E. Cantharides p. 3iij, acetic acid fv, pyroligneous acid fZxv, euphorbium 3ss. 7 days. D. Powdered cantharides Ziv, strong acetic acid f¥iv, commercial acetic acid f3xvj. Macerate 14 days, and strain through flannel with expres- sion. [To promote prompt vesication.
