With tbe approval of tbe Ministry of Housing and Local Ciovern- ment, work was commenced during tbe year on tbe North Dalton and Langtoft Sewerage and Sewage Disjjosal Sebemes, estimated to cost .£li>,l'K) and £19,1!K) resj)eetively. Tbe Ministry also approved, in principle, tbe sewerage and sewage disjjosal proposals for Hutton Cranswick (with Watton), but tenders for this work bad not been obtained by the close of the year. Other sew'erage and sewage disposal proposals eommeneed during tbe year wore tbe laying of a sew’cr from tbe site of tbe i)roj)osed Kilbam Fumping .Station to connect to the existing village sewer (estimated to cost £1,1-92) and tbe laying of a sewer at Wetwang to serve tbe ,Soutbfi<‘ld \’iew Couneil Houses, in Hack Street, and other lU'operties in tbe vicinity (estimated to cost .£l,42l).
