Segment 1 The mosquito eggs are shown floating on the surface of still water. The larvae hatches and is shown in close-up. The larva swim to the surface of the water to breathe. The larvae changes into a pupa. Time start: 00:00:00:00 Time end: 00:04:52:16 Length: 00:04:52:16
Segment 2 The pupae, unable to feed, rest at the surface of the water to breathe. The pupae grow darker as they age. The mosquito emerges from the shell of the pupa, and is forced out by peristaltic contractions. Time start: 00:04:52:16 Time end: 00:10:16:14 Length: 00:05:23:02
