![“ w itli the proper adminiftration of remedies lie effeded a cure in three days.” How, •ind by what remedies ? By the remedies which I had preleribed, and had feat from the Difpenfary. For Mr. Bell informs us he vilited Hugh on the third day of his illnefs, 1 wjien j,e was taking away the medicines, which had been fent from the Difpen- t n V “ HiiMi deli red him federal times, in an anxious manner, to* let them remain ; “ faying, they are of much ufe to me, and none to you*.” Mr. Bell iikewife fays one of the Catheters was very bloody. Concerning Wm. Cowin it will be unneceflary to fay much. I believe every Gentle- m in 'who heard him deliver his evidence in the Town-Hall on the 22d of Augull, ti, ’ j,t y,;„ ,, nvtfl dsfpi'-ahle.wretch. The material parts of his evidence were cantra- dicled in the fulled manner by Mr. Watfon, and by the Report Book of the Difpenfary. Wlfther Dorothy Wright, and Mary Blackburn, the two wajher-women, have any fet'led' purpofe to deceive or not I cannot tell; but lam certain they have mifrepre- fented the eonverfation I had with them in a very egregious manner, perhaps, from 111' a”dw woUs^o'n ^he Appendix will fuffice. Here I mud confefs my adverfary has not been wanting either in artifice or cunning. The certificates of Anthony Watfon, h.hn Graham, and Win. Hodgfon, are drawn up in fuch general terms, that a reader unaccullomed to examine, to compare, and to realon upon fads, may be led to conclude that they authenticate the moll material pafihges in Mr. Hodgfo.Ts publication ; the ntnrv however, will appear from the perufal of the certificates of John Graham, and Wm' Hodgfon, in my Appendix, No. III. and VIII. Thcfe Gentlemen now explain hat Mr H widled might be concealed, viz. the fads with which they were acquainted. What are thefe fads? Mr. Graham fays, « all lie knows ab.iut the matter is, that there .. nvaf a difference of opinion between Dr. Heyfoam and Mr. Hodgfon, a c.rcumllance that was always granted ; and Mr. Hodgfon, of Burg], informs us he borrowed a tooth- T r and a fringe, which was never denied. And if I had had leifure to ride feventy, or eighty miles, Uiave not the leall doubt but 1 could have obtained a fimilar explana- tory certificate from Mr. Watfon. Mv adverfary in his letter to Dr. Monro, informs the Dodor, that a lady, m fimilar circumftances with Ann Liddell, had applied to him, and that he “ had -fixed on Mon- ,t Tuefday, or Wednefday next.
