![) [ 20 ] a Chalybeate Water near Tralee, which I did without the lead Effect. Immediately after, my Legs broke out in Sores, or Ulcers, which diichar- ged a Humour fo corrofive, that my Stockings were eat into Holes by it: I then returned Home to Cork, and in a little Time after, the Diforder became as bad as ever, with this difference only, the Pain was not quite fo violent. When I was bathing and drinking the Salt-water at Crofhaven, which was of no Ufe to me, I was defired to try- your Drops by a Gentleman whofe Friend had been cured of an inveterate Scurvy by them- I immedi¬ ately came to London, applied to you, and have taken your Drops ever fince, by which I have ob¬ tained a perfect Cure. 1 am, Sir4 Great Poultney-Street, Tour moji obedient Dec. 21, 1767. MY Daughter is effedhtaby cured, by the Ufe of Maredant’s Drops, (prepared by Mr. Norton, Surgeon, of Golden-fquare,) of an inveterate Humour, occafioned by the Relics of the Small-pox, which caufed feveral Ulcers in her Knees, Legs, &c. With one Knee fhe was fo vio¬ lently bad, that the Lotion, which was injedled to cleanfe the Wound, on one Side, came out at the other. In the Courfe of five Years, I employed fe¬ veral of the mod eminent Surgeons in London, without the Child’s receiving the lead Benefit from any of them ; one of whom (who is of the greated Repute among the Faculty) declared, that if ever the Virulency of the Humour could be corredled, the Patient would have a diff Knee for Life.
