I , , To Mr. NORTON, Surgeon, Golden-Sqjj a re SIR, 1 Should think myfelf wanting in Gratitude to you, and Humanity to my Fellow-Creatures, if I longer omitted acquainting the Public of a moft remarkable Cure I have obtained by the Ufe op your Maredant’s Drops. About forty Years ago j got a Surfeit, by drinking a Quantity of Small-Beer when I was exceilive hot; foon after which I was taken very ill, and there appeared great Blotches, and other Eruptions, all over my Head, my Hands, and my Body, much like the Bark of a Tree. I ha ve had the Advice of the moft eminent Phyficians in London, and have taken various Medicines, D'et-Drinks, &c. without Relief, till I took your Drops, by which, thank God, I am now perfe<ftly cured. As my Diforder appears to be of longer Standing than any mentioned in your Paper, you have mv Leave to publifh it. S I R, ]T is above two Years fince my Son was cured of an inveterate Scurvy by the Ufe of your Drops. He was one entire Scab, from the Crown of his Plead to the Soles of his Feet ; befides which, he had feveral Holes in one of his Legs and Arms. I employed feveral Surgeons, and fent him, by their Direction, to bathe, and drink the Sea-water, without EffeFt. As I think this is a moft extra¬ ordinary Cure, I defire you will publifh it for the Good cf others. «* I am Sir, July 9, 1772.
