![During the year 222 cases of Infectious Diseases were notified excluding cases of Tuberculosis, This is considerably less than Inst year owing to the decrease in the number of cases of measles. Scarlet Fever. 88 cases were notified without fatal result, ^principally* In the South and North” wards. Diphtheria. 43 cases were notified without fatal^re suit, and the South ward which is the largest had 28 cases,- Of the total number, not one of them had been previously immunised although the School clinics are^ carried on regularly. Cerebro-Spinal Fever. 3 cases were notified without fatality. Whooping Gough. 32 cases were notified with no deaths. Puerperal Fever. Nil. Enteric Fever. Nil• Erysipelas. 4 Cases were notified. Measles. 41 cases were notifledl resulting in one death* Pneumonia. 9 cases were notified but there were 13 deaths which shows that not all the cases are bieing notified. Scabies. Treatment of this disease had to be abandoned ibjiring the latter part of the year as no volunteers came forward to continue the work after the staff at the First Aid Post had been reduced to Infinitesimal proportions. Tuberculosis. ~ ' 20 new cases were notified, 19 Respiratory and 1 Non-Respiratory.
