![Saturday usually being the free day. all animals were inspected post mortem and many before slaughtering and in order to carry out this work 2 or 3 and sometimes 4 visits have to be made to the abattoir each day that killing takes place. In the course of these inspections a total of 11 tons 10 cwts, of meat and offal was condemned as unfit for human consumption.
