Oeographieal hospital honndaries have thus been greatly widened by the Begional arrangements under the Act, and as far as this district is con¬ cerned, have made the jirobleni of finding hospital accoinniodation for the acutely sick a little less ditticnlt than in many parts of the country. The problem of the disposal of the chronic sick has increased. iXfaternity cases, in an emergency, are received at the City (ieneral Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent. Bart of the maternity wing of the Haywood Hospital is now available for normal cases with¬ out (diarge and part is still on a. fee-paying basis (private beds). Ti. Mortuary. The Conneirs niortnary is situated in Condlyffe Toad. I’lssential ennipmeiit is jirovided by the local authority and a mortuary attendant is available when reipiired.
