Left to right: Proteus (Lord Bolingbroke), Cicero (Earl of Orford, i.e. Sir Robert Walpole, who had died the previous year), Clodius (Earl Cholmondeley), Curio (Earl of Bath, i.e. William Pulteney), Aristophanes (holding baton as Commander-in-Chief , probably 1st Earl of Stair), Musaeus (William Pitt the Elder, Earl of Chatham), and Atticus (Henry Pelham). They are displayed on a terrace with treetops and a church tower beyond, giving the impression that the statues are displayed on a high terrace
