    being very ill, Dr. Addington of Reading was fent for j and about four or five Days after Dr. Hayes ofWindfor was called in. I mention the Names of thefe Gentlemen, be- caufe their high Reputations in their Profefiion will re¬ move all manner of Sufpicion that any thing was neglec¬ ted which could contribute to my Recovery. During this Week I was bled twice more in the Arm, twice in the tem¬ poral Artery, was cupp’d feveral Times, once bled with Leeches, had two more Blilters applied to the Arms, two to the Legs, one to the Head, and two Plaiflers to the Feet. On Sunday, Apni 22, I was fo extremely ill that the Perfon who attended me went down Stairs to Sir Neville Hickman, and told him 1 was dead ; but upon my disco¬ vering Some Signs of L ife, Sir Neville made them‘endea¬ vour to force down a Dofe of Dr. ■James's Fever Powder, of which I fwallowed about a third or fourth Part. On Monday andTuefday, the 23d and 24th, I was better, but the Powder was not then repeated. On Wednefday I re- lapfed, and on Thurfday was fo ill that my Phy Brians had not the leaft Hopes of my Life : This Day, April 26, I took for the fecond Time a Dofe of Dr. ‘James's Powder, and on Friday, April 27, was much better. This Medi¬ cine was repeated, and to the great Surprife of alnolb every Body, 1 continued to mend hourly, and in a few Days perfectly recovered. Sir Neville George Hickman, and Mr. Willoughby Wood of Thorcjby in Lincoln/hire, who wras at that time at Sir Neville's, will atteft the Truth of this Relation: And I am perfuaded that Dr. Hayes and Dr. Addington will do the fame ; becaufe they were at that Time clear that my Recovery was entirely owing to Dr. James's Fever Pow¬ der.
