At the clofe of 1791, when many, through ignorance, fell viftims to the baneful influence of the bloody-flux, the Dowager Princefs Juliana of Schaumburgh Lippe, firft conceived the bleflfed idea of caufmg a Cate- chifm of Health to be written and publiihed for the ufe of Schools, and infl:ruaion of children. This Catechifm, in an imperfedl ftate, appeared in 1792, yet eighty thoufand copies of it were fold, and it was intro- duced into fchools as a book of in- ftrudion. li.
