    DIRECTOR'S BOX THE STEWARDS ANNOUNCER v RAFFLE TICKETS PROGRAMMES The box used by the Ball Director (Lt.-Col. R. M. G. LLOYD) is No. 41 on the Grand Tier. As he will normally be somewhat busy, the Director asks that pressing emergency only shall bring an enquiry to this box. The Ball Honorary Stewards will be in costume as YEOMEN OF THE GUARD, and will be wearing a Steward’s badge. They are :— Captain GUY LYDEKKER, R.N. (Chief Hon. Steward). Messrs. J. H. BURTON, DAVID CLARKE, L. H. DANCE, D. R. GUIDON, A. R. HARWOOD, H. P. IRELAND, M. KEPPLE, G. LASHBROOK, J. LOOKER, W. LOWRY, W. E. PUSEY, C. J. B. RITCHIE, W. SERGEANT, W. N. SUTCLIFFE, P. WEBSTER, R. J. WEST. You are particularly requested to comply with the directions given from time to time by the stewards,in order to ensure smooth running and the best view for everyone of the cabaret, etc. The announcer at the microphone is GEOFFREY SUMNER of the B.B.C. No need to ask that he may be given a hearing! You will without doubt encounter one or more of our charming ticket- sellers. If you don’t, please visit their H.Q., the Centrepiece on the Ballroom floor, which will be in joint charge of Fiight-Officer KEPPLE and Flight-Officer SMURTHWAITE. All raffle-ticket sellers will be ‘“‘ badged.”’ They cannot accept cheques !—so please “‘have the exact fare ready.” (This assumes, of course, that you would like to win a nice new motor-car). These are being sold by STUDENTS FROM THE ROYAL FREE, attired in regulation cap-and-gown. They operate under Miss E. J. ALLDAY. The minimum price of a programme (as you will have discovered) is a nimble half-dollar—but there is no limit to the quantity you may buy, in your effort to win a lucky number prize.
