HE ovaria in women, Dr Baillie obfcrves. are fubjett to a great variety of chan- ges from their natural ftrutture. Many of thefe are exa&ly fimilar to what take place in other parts of the body; but there is one change, which he confiders as peculiar to them, and the nature of which, he thinks, has not hitherto been well afcertained. This change of flrufture is a converfion of the natural fub- flance of an ovarium into a fatty mafs, inter- mixed with hair and teeth.
