    Bruises. To prevent turning black apply a Treacle and Brown Paper Plaster. Bunions. Paint twice daily with Tincture of Iodine. Bad Legs. Wash in Lime Water and Milk daily, also drink it freely. Bad Breath. Half teaspoonful Powdered Charcoal in Wineglass of water three times daily, or take Mint Tea freely. Strawberries take away all disagreeable odour and also remove tartar from the teeth. Bowels (Painful). Drink hot Port Wine or steep a linen cloth in Castor Oil and a pinch of Mustard and apply to Bowels. Take Castor Oil. Backache. The plant, Golden Rod, make as Tea. Biliousness. Drink hot Water with Lemon or teaspoonful Black Currant Preserve before meals. Baldness. Rub twice daily with decoction of Boxwood or damp freely with Sage or equal parts Rosemary, Boxwood and Marshmallows to quart Boiling Water, or lotion made of half-an-ounce Vinegar of Cantharides, one ounce Eau de Cologne, one ounce Rose Water. Vaseline also good. Boxing Ears. Often causes inflammation and deafness. Bleeding. To stop, apply Powdered Rice. Bad Memory. Drink Sage Tea, sweeten to taste. Biackheads. Very unsightly, but can be cured with one ounce of Glycerine, two drachms Borax and five ounces of Rose Water, or rub a little Sweet Oil on for a few days.
