    35. Seasonal incidence.—In January the disease was at its apex, the upward turn having been taken from October with a slight drop in December. In February it dropped down to half of its severity in the previous month; but from the next month it again took up its onward move attaining its maximum rate in April which was the same as in January. The lowest mortality from this disease was recorded in September. The disease seemed to have moved during the year in its normal course with the variation that its usual maximum in April was at par with January. Compared with the previous year, the death rates were low^er in all the months excepting the months of January, July and August, in which the rates were higher. Compared with the previous decennium, the rates were lower in all the months excepting the months of July and August. In the last named month the rates were stationary.
