The cause of this diminution of the phosphoric acid may have been accidental; but, at the same time, it ought to be recollected that a considerable time intervened between the examinations, that the patient had had several maniacal attacks in the interval, that his system had lost tone, and that he was not working. XII. Ann R, aged sixteen. Sept. 6-9, 1864.—Looks drowsy, complains of pain in head; behaves quietly; laughs and mutters inco- herently to herself; pulse 80; bodily condition fair.
