Description
The consul was Niven Moore (1795-1889)--The times, 19 February 1889. Neither his obituary in The times (loc. cit.) nor that of his son (The times, 8 May 1903) mentions Mrs Moore. In this portrait she wears an oriental headdress and robes, and holds a fan of feathers
