    FITS. For the prevention and cure of the various dis- orders of this class, which afflict, endanger, and destroy human life, reliance can only be placed on the advice of a skilful physician. All that is here necessary or proper is to make a few remarks, which may assist the judgment and tend to lessen the perturbation of the friends and by-standers, even where they cannot avail to shorten the duration, or abate the violence of the pa- roxysms. 3
