Auai'mia : headache, neuralgia, dirtv sallow hue of skin, irregular action of bowels, loss of appetite, 6cc.' Delilitv: mental depression. Pains increased by walking or sitlincr upriidit. Peflex irritation of breasts, bladder, and rectum. Tre.vtment. Same as lor simple abrasion. Warm water or astrin- gent injections night and morning. Tonics. Syphilitic AfFections.—Primarti sniilUitic sores veiy rai-e. Chief symptoms,—'iTypertrophy and indura- tion of vaginal portion of cervix. Abundant muco-puru'lent discliar-e from uterus and vagina. Patches of abrasion, or of ulceration, on laliia uteri. Jlenstrnal irregularities,—often mcnorrhagia. Evidence of disease in distant parts,—loss of hair, sore throat, cutaneous eruji- lions, nodes, &c. Treatment the same as for syidiilis general!v. 4. Eodcnt Ulcer. —Synon. Cl rrodivi/ Ulcer.—A severe disease which has been confounded with epiilielinl cancer. Very rare before ago of thii'ty : usually commences aliout change of life.'' Symftcms. T'lccration begins gradually and exionds slowlv. As it eats away affected (issue, complaint made of pelvic heat and dis- comfort; thin serous discharge, occasionally streaked with blood.
