Each year since 1954, there has been a steady fall in the rate of Infant Mortality. The Public Health Ser'/ices through the care of health visitors, the provision of cheap milk, free vitamins, and iinnurdsation schemes, have all a part to play in this. In 1958 there were three deaths in the district of infants und.er one year of age; in 1959 we had only one such death; there were three in 196O, two in each of the next three years, one in 1964 and none in 1965.
