Sewers were given their usual annual maintenance treatment and were found to be in particularly good condition. The Corporation give a 'free' service in the case of dwellinghouses. It will be recollected that in 1951 we had four successful prosec¬ utions against offenders under the Prevention of Damage by Pests (Threshing and Dismantling of Ricks) Regulations, 1950. During the year under review no offences were noted under these Regulations. The Council have continued their membership of the Rodent Control Planning and Advisory Committee (Group No.11) which comprises represent¬ atives of seven local authorities in this area, and whose functions include those of stimulating and maintaining interest and activity throughout the area in rodent control administration.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b29992539_0042.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
